Hello! I'm Andrés Montañez
I love to tell stories
Our human condition is bound to the eternal struggle between life and death, day and night, knowledge and the unknown. Within an endless twilight across these aspects of our existence we are given the opportunity to dive deep into our imagination, to swim in the cosmic dark waters of fantasy and horror.
Through the terror we exercise and exorcise our demons, and thanks to stories we are able to share them. The power of a tale allows us to intertwine our minds and souls, to reach out and live within the communal playground that is our collective imagination. To share a story is to share our emotions, and the oldest and strongest emotion known to mankind is fear.
That's why I love to tell uncanny and terrorific stories, that's why we go out of light into darkness.

WASTING LOVE
Early 90s, a pub, some heavy metal, and the breakup of a couple. I wrote, directed, photographed and edited this short film.
AS DE CORAZONES
A short story about a Boy that must meet his Girlfriend… before her father picks her up. I wrote the script and helped with directing and cinematography.

First part of a "Grindhouse" experiment. A senator is kidnapped so a nefarious bill can pass. I wrote, directed, photographed and edited this short film.

Part II of our "Grindhouse" repertoire. After a bill allowing to clone human organs, a zombie apocalypse breaks loose. I wrote the script, pinned the main idea, and helped with directing and cinematography.
LA ECUACIÓN
If you could tell something to yourself, back in time, what would it be? What would you sacrifice? That was the premise in this short film I wrote, directed, photographed and edited.
PARAMNESIA
My first short film! I wrote, directed and edited this little tale. The main goal was to do it quickly, so the story resolves around the same action changing small details generating a different outcome each time. A story about action and reaction, about the weight of consequences.

RavenHaus it's not just a company, it's an idea, a force, the embodiment of imagination. Its purpose is not only to help me publish my works, but also I aspire to use it as a vehicle to promote and produce other voices and authors, new masters of the macabre and the uncanny.
